Half Moon Bay holds Pumpkin Weigh-Off
Story posted 2010.10.11 at 05:48 AM PDTSome of the world largest pumpkins are tipping the scales in Half Moon Bay for the 37th Annual Pumpkin Weigh-Off.
Last year's winner weighed 1,658 pounds.
The contest sponsors pay $6 a pound to the champion.
This year, there's a $5,000 bonus for beating the world record 1,725 pounds.
The weighing takes place between 7 and 11 Monday morning on Main Street in Half Moon Bay.
